I'm the kind of person who skips to the conversation when reading a book.
Grace came downstairs yesterday morning upset because she didn’t have a gift for her friend, Caddie, whom she would see that day but not again until the new year.
“I don’t have anything for Caddie,” she bemoaned. “I don’t even know what to give her.”
“How about this?” Hannah asked, picking up a little blank book Grace had made in Sunday School. The pages accordioned out, and it really was kind of cool.
“I can’t give her that,” Grace said, sounding exasperated. “Look — it says ‘Grace’s Journal’ right on the front. Mrs. B.made us write our names on them.”
“Duct tape?” questioned Grace.
“Yes, just put duct tape over the mistake. It makes the book looks cool and covers over stuff.”
Yes, indeed. That’s just what Grace did.
Duct tape can fix all sorts of things, and cover a multitude of mistakes.
